Current VP Education: Anna Laszlo
I graduated from ELTE in 2011 (English and American studies) and specialized in humor studies. I am planning to do my PhD and conduct further research in humor. My interests include languages, self-development, and public speaking. I earned the Competent Communicator award in less than 6 months which goes to show that what Toastmasters promises, Become the Speaker and Leader You Want to Be, can be achieved in a few months. As VP Education, my task is to organize the meetings: deploy the speakers, evaluators, the toastmaster, and the table topics master. You will have nothing to do with me unless you intend to actively participate in the Toastmasters meetings. However, once you have decided to be active, I won't let you alone! ;) Looking forward to meeting YOU! VP Education Role The Vice President Education is responsible for providing and maintaining the positive environment and the programs through which members can learn and grow. The VP Education ensures the club has satisfied members and continues to grow. Contact: vp-education@budapesttoastmasters.org |

Current VP Hospitality: Attila Szabó
I studied electrical engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and subsequently worked as a salesman at Kompass Hungary Ltd. and as a service manager at KFKI Inc. Currently, I work as an IT specialist at a law office and as master of ceremony at weddings. I became infected with the need for speaking in front of an audience when, during my early 20’s, I had to stand in front of 200 people and compére a dance performance in which I was also involved. I loved leading the attention of the audience, and seeing them to react to my words. Later on I discovered that you don’t have to do it without getting constructive feedback; you have the chance to come to a place where everyone has the same goal - to be ready to stand in front of an audience and give a speech that they will never forget! I have found a great, supportive community at Budapest Toastmasters, which always encourages members to carry on with the improvement of their public speaking skills. VP Hospitality Role Oversee the management of all social functions of the Club; schedule meeting location; maintain club equipment in working order and oversee that adequate supplies are available, attend club executive committee meetings; attend district-sponsored club officer training; arrange for a replacement and for assistance if necessary; prepare successor for office.
